How do I join the
club and how much is it... ?
You will need to complete an Application
form and forward it to the club secretary
with the membership fee. (2007 the cost
is £7 plus £1 for any other
person residing at the same address

What
documentation etc do I need... ?
Besides the club membership you will need
to be affiliated to one of the governing
bodies of the sport. Our club is affiliated
to the Auto Cycle Union and all our events
are run under the ACU rules.
You can download an affiliation form from
the ACU
web site. You will need to complete
the required details and forward to the
club secretary with a cheque payable to
'The Auto Cycle Union'. (At the moment this
is £10 for trials)
Included in the affiliation document is
a parental agreement form that has to be
signed by a parent/guardian

What
is the maximum machine I can ride ... ?
All youth riders (A & B Class) cannot
compete in an ACU event on a machine with
a capacity larger than 125cc. Full
information here.

What
type of trial will I be able to rides ...
?
The club run 6 different severity of trials.
They are as follows:
Autowbars
Beginners and Novice Trial
- For beginners and slightly tougher course
for novices
Club
Trial - All solo classes.
Part of The closed to Club Championship.
(May include a beginners course. Will state
it on regs)
Centre
Club Restricted - Open to
all competitors who are members of a Yorkshire
centre Club. Will include a
round of our Closed to Club C/ship
Centre
Restricted -
Part of the old West Yorkshire
Group Championship. The club only run 1
round of this c/ship. The trial is The ES
Myers Trophy Trial held in December
Centre
Championship Trial - Part
of the Yorkshire Centre Championship. The
club run 2 of these events, the Davy Cup
in June and The Timperley Cup in January.
These are notpart of The Closed to Club
Champioship
British Championship (Youth
& Adult) As the name suggests the cream
of our sport will compete at these trials
and the course will be plotted accordingly.

Where
can I practice ... ?
There are a few places where you can practice
with the landowners permission. You need
to speak to other riders for other locations
etc.
The Club have to venues
where the landowner allows practice. In
both cases please contact the landowner
before going onto the land.
Anyone caught practicing at any of our
venues where practicing is not allowed will
be dealt will be banned from any trials
organised by the club and will recommend
to the Centre and ACU that he is banned
from other events.
REMEMBER trials venue's
are getting harder to come by. DO NOT jeopardise
the sport by going onto land without permission.

When you are affilaited to the ACU
you will recieve the latest version of the
handbook. This book contains everything
you will need to know.
