| HUDDERSFIELD
FALCON MCC (FA)
The club was founded in 1952 following
an advertisement placed in the Huddersfield
Examiner by the Foyle brothers. Club “runs”
were advertised in “ Motorcycle”
and “Motorcycling” magazines
and these runs started from the garage of
the club patron Arnold Moore, at Oxford
Street in Huddersfield. The destination
of the runs was chosen at the previous month’s
meeting.

RICHMOND
& DMC Ltd (RI)
Richmond Motor Club, hereinafter
referred to as RMC, was established
some 80 years ago as a car club
regularly holding rallies and
treasure hunts. The first trial
was held in the 50's since then
the club has enjoyed a very
successful track record for
providing regular, good quality,
professionally managed trials
events.
Some 20 trials are run every
year, and are designed to provide
a challenge for all abilities
and age groups.

SPEN
VALLEY MCC (SV)
Founded in 1923 as the Heckmonwike
and District MCC, the club changed
its name a short time later
to encompass the whole of the
Spen Valley, and the rather
grand sounding "Spen Valley
Motorcycle and Light Car Club"
emerged.

LEEDS MC Ltd (WL)
The earliest record of the
club can be found in an old
semi-hard backed booklet which
originated, (I believe), from
the Leeds Health Dept., Market
Buildings, Leeds, the workplace
of one of the founders of the
club, one Bernard Beckwith,
who subsequently became the
Secretary of the club. The date
at the top of the dog-eared
page is Wednesday April 17th
1947, so it must be assumed
that this is the date of the
first real meeting of interested
people, although we know of
other meetings which took place
in a pub (naturally) in Lower
Wortley Road, before that the
first record is as above, so
we will take it from there.

To quote from one of the
